About me, well where do I start. I have been into multimedia for over 15 years.More so on the music and video side .I pursed academic qualifications in marketing communications and multimedia and have travelled the world working on projects for artists and some prestigous companies.
I grew up on the sunny Central Coast of NSW and cut my teeth as a young surfer playing in local bands. I moved to Canberra in 1997 to study marketing communications to get into the music industry. I did my internship with Sony Music Australia, thus finding inspiration to work in the newly evolving field of multimedia on the internet. As the music industry got smaller and less profitable, I continued to look for ways to get a niche skillset, thus enrolling in the Masters degree program at Newcastle in Music Tech. I then lived on the beach at Newcastle and played in bands, studied and witness the internet grow to amazing heights with broadband.
In 2004 I moved back to the coast and found work with a company called KRONE who manufactured telecommunication equipment and I was employed as a specialist within the Fibre Optic division.
From here I undertook formal training and gained qualifications in Product Managament and ACA licenses for Fibre Optic networking.
In 2006 the company was bought out by American giant ADC and I decided to move to the UK to travel and pursue my interests in music technology and the emerging mobile market.
Within three months of travelling around northern Europe I was employed on a project with Sony Ericcson to drive revenue through the retail handset market by sophisticated marketing and inter-personal selling. My region was west London and I was having the time of my life, working on campaigns that included high level product placement in the blockbuster movie The Davinci Code and singles releases for SONY artists including Christina Aguilera and Jamiroquai. Within 4 months the project milestones had been reached and delivered more than the revenue required for the 6 month campaign. The most succefful Manager on the project had been invited to join Sony Fulltime and I contracted again for another year working on other web/telecom projects in the marketing space in London
My Visa expired end of 2007 end I returned home and moved to Sydney looking for more work similar to what I was doing for Sony in London.
